CBSE CTET September 2026 – Complete Details
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 for determining the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Class I to V (Primary Level – Paper I) and Class VI to VIII (Junior Level – Paper II) in Central Government Schools across India including Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Navodaya Vidyalaya (NV), Tibetan Schools, and other Central Government aided / unaided schools.
The online application process was open from 11 May 2026 to 10 June 2026. The Correction / Edit Application Window is now open from 15 to 18 June 2026 — this is the last opportunity for candidates to correct any mistakes in their application form. The CTET Exam Date is 06 September 2026, with Exam City Details available before the exam, Admit Card available 2 days before the exam, Answer Key available after the exam, and Result expected in October 2026.
CTET is a lifetime valid certification (as per CBSE norms) once qualified, making it one of the most important teacher eligibility examinations for candidates aspiring to teach in Central Government schools across India.
Important Note: This year the exam centers are limited in every city — candidates who want their nearest exam center / city must apply as soon as possible as exam city slots are limited.
